Super X upgrade Information
To Upgrade the Super X versions to standard or professional version, it's very easy you can pay on line for the upgrades from the Super X software program.
WKM have a new updated manual V3. We did a test with the new firmware. Some forums mentioned that it seems the Algorithms they have used have altered the gains in the system, we had to up all our gains a lot to what they were, we also measured the GPS position to the IMU and entered those figures, and also measured an estimated distance from the CofG to the IMU and entered in a figure for that, our X650 V4 flew and held absolutely spot on, in fact better than ever. DJI have altered the assistant so you can up the Hz of the servo, xaircraft said the servos are ok up to 500Hz, the assistant allows you to up it to 400Hz, which i did, servos were cold, so was totally fine, but the roll on the mount was so much smoother, you really could tell it was better on our video testing

Electronic compass installation: Electronic compass (electronic compass) works the same as regular physical compass, are sensing the Earth's magnetic field. The difference is that the electronic compass output is the electronic compass signal, In electronic compass, there is a mark "Front" letter with triangle arrow, the arrow pointing north of the Earth's magnetic field, electronic compass output is 0 degrees.when install the Electronic compass , you need to note the following:
1: The electronic compass is sensitive to magnetic objects (such as magnets, motors, etc.), magnetic objects (such as iron, steel, nickel, etc.) , electronic compass installation location must be away from these objects.
2: The electronic compass is sensitive to current wire/cable, especially in high current conductors (such as the battery power lines, electrical lines, etc.), electronic compass installation location must be away from the conductor, in principle, the larger the current from the wire should be Further
3: The electronic compass ---"Front" triangular arrows and AHRS "Front" triangular arrows --direction must be consistent .
4: the initial installation of an electronic compass, you need to calibrate the electronic compass. each time after changing the installation position ,electronic compass is also proposed to re-calibrate .
X650 Settings Sharing You can expert your X650 settings, and share the settings on the Internet (email, RC groups etc.). And you also can use the settings shared by RC friends. "Import" and "Export" are useful features of XAircraft Configuration software, which makes the sharing of flying X650 Quadcopter easier.
Users can select items(e.g. Flight Control Settings and Flight Style Settings) to export as a ".xconfig" file. Then you can share this file to others. When you have a shared ".xcofnig" file, you also can select the items to import. For example, the shared file contains settings of RC, Control(Flight Settings), Motor(Flight Style Settings), Camera, and Output. But you only need the settings of Control and Motor, so you select them and unselect the other items. The items of settings: RC - Specify the Input Signals from Receiver. Control - Specify the stick movements and the PID flight control parameters for Plus Flight Style and Cross Flight Style. Motor - Specify the Flight Style of X650 and motor settings. Usually, it's no need to change the motor settings. Camera - Specify the Camera Settings of your own Camera. There are differences on different X650s, because of the assembly distinctness and different cameras. This page gives a demo for how Export/Import works, and give some tips for writing the description of your sharing.
Share Your Settings
n this demo, I have optimized my X650 settings for 4S battery, 1200g take off weight, and the settings is fit for aerial videography. Now I share it!
I write the details of the settings for description: Control Settings 1. Stick smoothed, X650 not too sensitive, better for aerial photography . 2. 1200 take off weight, 4S battery. Motor Settings: Quadcopter Cross Style --- by Jingchen And I want to share the Control and Motor Settgins only, so I select the items of "Control Configuration" and "Motor Configuration". Click "OK" to save the settings to a ".xconfig" file. It's recommended to write the features in the file name :-), like "4S 1200g Cross Style by Jingchen.xconfig". The X 650 Controller Software
XAircraft X650 is definitely not just a simple four-rotor aircraft toy. It has a very powerful user-defined function that player can fine-tune the various parameters to meet their flight style, such as: Joystick sensitivity, aircraft flight parameters at different load, etc.
In fact, the biaxial camera mount, in order to fit to different types of cameras, also required a powerful software to adjust different parameter, such as: different size camera, camera focus location and trigger time... all need to fine-tuning parameters.
Meanwhile XAircraft Flight Control Management(Parameter Adjustment) Software is a working status monitor that player can check the service condition of x650 to ensure safe flight. It can also help the user quickly to find the problem when the aircraft broken down.
X 650 the difference between Ultra PWM ESC and general ESC
General ESC has been very mature after years of development, many species, current from small ampere to large ampere. But the general ESC are not designed for multi-rotor craft, there are a few common problem if it used in multi-rotor craft:
Low control frequency: the general ESC used standard PWM pulse width which is only 50Hz(20ms cycle). In fact, most of the general ESC could work in much higher than this range without any problem. The ESC we tested they basically can work well from 200Hz to 300Hz in control frequency, but this frequency can only meet the common requirements.
Consistency is poor: almost all general ESC have a common basic function called "the start throttle setting" that can be used to eliminate the different throttle pulse width with different remote control. That is you can set all of the ESC to start the motor at a some throttle position. Unfortunately, this feature can not solve the problem in poor consistency, for example, rocker swing 10 degrees from the start position, assuming the speed of motor is 3000 rpm at this time, and the environments are invariant, then change the setting and rocker swing 10 degrees from the start position again, you will find the motor speed may be only 2500 rpm, but also changes speed with the ESC temperature. It is caused by the general ESC have not a stable reference clock source without temperature influence. That is ok for the single rotor craft, but disaster for multi-rotor craft, because the different motor speed in four rotor is difficulty for the craft to fly Stable.
Constant speed mode, which is the only function for senior ESC. For single rotor craft, the ESC itself is a closed loop control system, constant speed mode can eliminate the effects that output power does not vary with battery voltage drop down. This feature allows craft flight more stable. For Multi-rotor system, ESC is only responsible for driving the motor, it can not achieve and does not need self-loop, that will affect the flight stability of multi-rotor aircraft.
In order to solve these problems, we used a more stable, reliable interface solution that compatible with current brushless motor speed controller, we called it UltraPWM technology:
All ESC are connect parallel to flight controller, any one of them brokecn down will not affect the work of the entire system, aircraft still able to landed safely via the remaining seven motor. This is essential for multi-rotor aircraft to meet high security requirement.
Motor control frequency 500Hz, 1000 control level. The the control pulse width error between two brushless motor less than 1%.
Compatible with the existing ESC interface, without requiring high speed and high precision control, instead, it can work with the general speed controller too.
AHRS system is used for calculate flight attitude (pitch and roll) and heading, it is an essential device for multi-rotor aircraft. The AHRS of XAircraft include 2 model: attitude calculate and compass. Attitude calculate model is standard configuration, and compass is a extend model for work with GPS. Information

X650 Load Capacity (and calculation)
Limit load take-off weight: The battery fully charged, the maximum weight the aircraft can pull up. This is mainly related to the battery voltage, motor model, propeller shape, the maximum current ESC support. Single motor of X650 provide up to 1.2Kg thrust, that is 4.8Kg thrust for one X650 aircraft. However, it does not have any sense, due to there is almost no power left to maintain flying, and the mechanical structure, ESC or other accessories may be damaged.
Maximum load take-off weight: 2.2Kg (4s battery) or 2.0Kg (3s battery). The mechanical structure, ESC load current, flight control are safety in this case. At maximum load, the battery is discharged, the battery voltage drops can cause the load capacity decreased, and some of the bad quality flight batteries maight broken down easily. we do not recommend this take-off load for safety.
Safe load take-off weight: 1.8Kg take-off weight is the maximum safe load for X650. This load capacity consider the mechanical structure, ESC load, flight control, smaller body vibration to make sure fly safety.
X650 load calculation method:
Glass Fiber version: 1800g (safe load take-off weight)=1100g (the weight of glass fiber version) + Battery weight + load weight (Camera Mount or other load)
Carbon Fiber version: 1800g (safe load take-off weight)=950g (the weight of garbon fiber version) + Battery weight + load weight (Camera Mount or other load)
